What Is RHTP?
The Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) is a nationwide, multi-year initiative led by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to strengthen and modernize rural healthcare systems across all 50 states. With $50 billion in funding over five years (FY 2026–2030), the program aims to move rural health systems beyond short-term relief toward sustainable, value-based, and technology-enabled care models.
