Job Title: Microsoft 365 Engineer (Contract)
Duration: 6 months (with option to extend or convert to full-time)
Job Summary
The Microsoft 365 Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for administering Microsoft 365 services and executing enterprise data and application migrations. This position supports Microsoft 365 tenant operations, SharePoint Online development, endpoint and application management using Intune, and large-scale modernization initiatives. The role works closely with IT, Engineering, and business teams to support cloud adoption and migration efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Execute data migrations from SharePoint, file servers, and legacy systems into Microsoft 365

Build and manage SharePoint Online sites, permissions, and governance controls

Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint

Manage users, groups, and licensing; optimize Microsoft 365 licensing and costs

Package, deploy, and manage applications and devices using Microsoft Intune

Support endpoint management, device enrollment, compliance policies, and troubleshooting

Assist with application onboarding, user readiness, and migration communications

Manage mobile devices and hardware enrollment using Apple Business Manager and Dell tools

Document configurations, migrations, and operational procedures

Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards
Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365

Proven experience with data and content migrations

Working knowledge of Entra ID

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (app deployment, device policies, compliance)

Experience supporting enterprise users in production environments

Strong troubleshooting and execution skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations or tenant consolidations

Familiarity with tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Manager

Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments

Microsoft certification (MS-102 or equivalent) preferred
