Job Title: Epic Beacon Analyst
Job Summary
The Epic Beacon Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, and support of the Epic Beacon oncology module. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure oncology workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with patient care goals.
Key Responsibilities

Configure, implement, and support Epic Beacon functionality, including treatment plans, protocols, chemotherapy ordering, scheduling, and documentation

Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and operational leaders to translate clinical workflows into Epic build

Analyze business and clinical requirements and develop functional specifications

Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting; support integrated testing and go-lives

Maintain and optimize existing Beacon workflows based on user feedback and regulatory changes

Support interfaces and integrations with other Epic modules (Willow, Cadence, Clarity, Caboodle, etc.)

Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and workflow diagrams

Provide end-user support and education, including issue resolution and system enhancements

Participate in change control, upgrades, and Epic version updates

Ensure compliance with oncology safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare, Clinical field, or equivalent experience

Experience working with Epic Beacon in a clinical or IT analyst role
-
Epic Beacon certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)

Strong understanding of oncology workflows, chemotherapy protocols, and clinical documentation

Experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
