Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst with a specialization in HL7 (Health Level Seven) standards to drive the analysis, documentation, and translation of healthcare business requirements into HL7-compliant technical solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across healthcare and IT teams to ensure seamless integration, interoperability, and adherence to healthcare data exchange standards.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and document business requirements specific to the healthcare industry.
Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications following HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, CDA, FHIR, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business users, to ensure accurate and timely implementation of HL7 standards.
Facilitate and lead discussions related to HL7 compliance and implementation strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements for HL7 integration across healthcare systems.
Design and execute test cases to validate HL7 message structure, data integrity, and system interoperability.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to development and QA teams regarding HL7 standard implementation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in HL7 standards, including versions 2.x, 3.0, CDA, and FHIR.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex business and technical requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Solid understanding of healthcare IT systems, interoperability, and clinical workflows.
Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) and their integration using HL7.
Knowledge of healthcare data exchange protocols, data mapping, and message transformation tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
HL7 certification or equivalent hands-on experience with HL7 messaging tools (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody).
Experience in working with government or regulatory healthcare entities is a plus.
Familiarity with other healthcare standards such as CCD, C-CDA, or X12.
