Job Summary:
The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for managing and safeguarding staff identity and access to the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for managing and safeguarding staff identity and access to the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Responsibilities:
- Manage the life cycle of user accounts, including creation, updating, and inactivation.
- Plan, test, and manage security for access to the EHR.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic User Security and Schedulable Epic Resources.
- Assist with application updates and new functionality evaluation.
- Troubleshoot security and workflow issues, collaborating with teams as needed.
- Assist in implementing and supporting Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC).
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of authorization evidence.
- Enforce policies to ensure authorized access in compliance with the Minimum Necessary Rules.
- Participate in Epic implementation security planning and build.
- Provide guidance on security best practices and access management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and technical settings.
- Generate reports for in-depth analysis of Epic software issues.
- Assist with the enrollment of Haiku, Canto, and EPCS.
- Manage Epic browser URL and activity allow lists.
- Perform daily operations work and reporting.
- Staff 24x7 on-call rotation to maintain security and operations.
Experience:
- Experience with Epic Application template build and management.
