Job Description:
Job Title: HL7 Developer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HL7 Developer to design, develop, and maintain healthcare integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HL7 v2.x/v3 standards, interface engines, and healthcare data interoperability.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain HL7 interfaces (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, etc.)

Design and implement integrations between EHR/EMR systems and third-party applications

Work with interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf)

Troubleshoot and resolve message formatting and connectivity issues

Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA)

Collaborate with clinical, technical, and vendor teams for system integration
Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in HL7 interface development

Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x (v3/FHIR is a plus)

Experience with interface engines (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, etc.)

Understanding of healthcare workflows and EHR systems

Proficiency in SQL and scripting (JavaScript, Java, or similar)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with FHIR APIs

Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA)

Healthcare IT certifications
