NCDHHS Rhapsody/JavaScript Systems Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Onboard laboratories for Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR)

• Troubleshoot and resolve lab data and reconciliation issues

• Build and support data feeds such as ELR and eCR

• Develop and maintain interfaces using Orion Rhapsody and JavaScript

• Create and support HL7 (V2/V3) and structured data exchanges

• Perform data validation and quality checks

• Ensure compliance with health data privacy and security standards

• Collaborate with hospitals, epidemiologists, and IT teams

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with health information systems

• 3+ years experience with data exchange or interface engines

• 3+ years experience with XML transformations

• 2+ years troubleshooting HL7 messages

• Knowledge of healthcare vocabularies (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD-10)

• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with Orion Rhapsody

• 3+ years JavaScript experience

• Experience with ELR or eCR public health reporting
