Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cerner RCM Analyst/Developer with strong experience in Cerner’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) modules and hands-on expertise in Cerner Command Language (CCL). This role plays a key part in building, enhancing, and supporting data extracts, reports, and workflows that optimize revenue cycle operations, including patient access, billing, claims, and collections.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CCL scripts for data extraction, reporting, and process automation across RCM modules.

  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, billing, and finance teams to gather reporting requirements and design appropriate solutions.

  • Build ad hoc queries, scheduled jobs, and batch processes to support both operational and regulatory needs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing scripts, reports, and data extracts.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational data governance standards when handling PHI.

  • Participate in the testing, validation, and deployment of Cerner RCM enhancements and upgrades.

  • Support and maintain interfaces between Cerner DAAC/RCM and downstream financial or analytics systems.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with Cerner Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) modules (e.g., Patient Accounting, Billing, Claims, Cash Posting).

  • Strong proficiency in Cerner Command Language (CCL) for custom reporting and data extraction.

  • Familiarity with Cerner DAAC schema and commonly used RCM tables (e.g., ENCTR, FIN, CHG, PAY).

  • Experience with ODBC/JDBC, ETL tools, or data integration between Cerner and external systems.

  • Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and performance tuning techniques.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and requirements gathering.
