FHIR Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FHIR Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and interoperable healthcare data exchange solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in FHIR standards, HL7 v2/v3, and healthcare integration protocols. You will play a key role in defining the FHIR architecture and collaborating with internal teams and EHR vendors to ensure robust interoperability across healthcare systems.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in healthcare IT with a strong focus on data interoperability.
  
  

• Expertise in FHIR (R4+), including deep understanding of resource definitions, profiles, and implementation guides.
  
  

• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2 and v3 standards, message types, encoding rules, and transformation techniques.
  
  

• Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with API management tools.
  
  

• Experience with integration technologies and platforms supporting FHIR, HL7, REST, SOAP.
  
  

• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages.
  
  

• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  
  

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  
  

• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems including EHRs, EMRs, and HIEs.
  
  

• Deep understanding of healthcare security and compliance requirements.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in FHIR or HL7 standards.
  
  

• Experience with SMART on FHIR, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect.
  
  

• Familiarity with clinical data modeling and terminology standards (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10).
  
  

• Experience with integration engines (e.g., Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf).
