Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with extensive expertise in data engineering, cloud solutions, and public transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building data warehouses, data lakes, and modern data platforms using cutting-edge technologies. This is a full-time onsite role requiring a seasoned professional with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Must have prior experience working on projects for public transportation planning and operations.
• Proven expertise in designing and building data warehouses and analytics solutions using Snowflake.
• Extensive experience in developing Azure cloud solutions, especially utilizing Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Mastery in GIT and branching strategies for Azure ADF.
• Proficient in administering Azure DevOps, including release management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud operational cost optimization.
• Expert in modern data warehousing and data lake concepts.
• Proficient in data protection, privacy, access control, and data masking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure all deployment and release activities are automated.
• Accountable for the solution's architecture, design, non-functional, and quality requirements.
• Act as the primary data modeler, responsible for creating conceptual and logical models that align with business requirements.
• Design a comprehensive data platform to enable self-service analytics for citizen analysts.
• Ensure metadata such as data catalog, data lineage, and labels are effectively captured.
• Review and approve work in Snowflake and data lakes, including DDL, metadata, and scripts.
• Oversee and approve pull requests for all development activities.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end solutions and provide guidance to developers and testers.
• Actively participate in development activities throughout the solution's technology stack.
• Expertise in Azure ADF, data pipelines, and Azure Integration Runtime.
• Develop and manage integrations utilizing REST API, RDBMS, Snowflake, and other data sources.
• Maintain and manage code related to pipelines and infrastructures in GIT.
• Perform unit tests to ensure solution stability and functionality.
