Job Description:

We are seeking an EHR Implementation Specialist to lead the deployment, configuration, and training of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, EHR implementation, user training, and system optimization. This role requires collaboration with healthcare providers, IT teams, and administrators to ensure a seamless transition to the EHR system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of EHR systems, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Conduct workflow analysis to customize the EHR system based on organizational needs.
  • Provide on-site and remote training for healthcare staff, ensuring effective adoption and usage of the EHR platform.
  • Assist with data migration, system integration, and interoperability with other healthcare applications.
  • Troubleshoot technical and user-related issues post-implementation and provide timely resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices for data security.
  • Work closely with vendors, IT teams, and clinical staff to optimize system performance and address customization needs.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and support documentation.
  • Monitor system performance and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support go-live activities and provide post-implementation support to resolve workflow issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in EHR implementation, training, and support.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, NextGen, or Allscripts.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical documentation, and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, data security, and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and user training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with EHR system integrations and third-party applications.
  • Familiarity with clinical decision support tools and patient engagement solutions.
  • Certifications such as Epic Certified Analyst, Cerner Millennium, or Health IT certifications are a plus.
